COUNTY ROAD PROJECTS UPDATE
· BLACK RIVER ROAD PROJECT – James Hamilton Construction (JHCC) is
the contractor hired.
o They have started the
o Upcoming road work
signage is being set up.
o JHCC will be working on
a Traffic Control Plan (TCP).
o They will backfill
potholes with base course or crusher fines. This will ensure a more
consistent Bomag process-reclaiming materials into soil.
o Will have Phase I
Flagger control during patching.
o On Wednesday, October 3,
JHCC should begin Bomag process-reclaiming materials into soil.
o Expect road closures and
delays. This is the only way to speed up the process of this project.
o If you are in this area,
PLEASE OBEY ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES.
· STANDPIPE ROAD PROJECT
o Traffic light has been
turned on at the intersection of Lea St and 6th St. The intersection is working well.
o Standpipe Road is still
closed at this time. There is signage showing road closed.
o The goal is to open
Standpipe in Mid-November or sooner, weather permitting.
o Had substantial delays
from the Utility companies in both Phase I and Phase II of the project.
o This is a very large
project with several variables and many underground utilities. Logistics
have been challenging. Thank you for your patience!
