Absentee Voting Applications Available by Request Only

The Eddy County Clerk will not be sending absentee applications to voters for the November 3, 2020 General Election unless you request it from the County Clerk’s office. A 3rd Party voter Action Group has decided to send absentee applications to voters, not a State or Local Government office. If you would like to vote absentee by mail, please fill out the application and return it to the County Clerk’s office and we will mail the ballot to the address indicated starting October 6, 2020. You can also go on-line to and request an absentee ballot or call the Clerk’s office and we will mail you an application. If you would rather vote in person before election day the following options will be available:

October 6, 2020 – Clerk’s Early Voting Room at 325 S MAIN ST, CARLSBAD FROM 8AM – 5PM MONDAY - FRIDAY

                               Clerk’s Sub Office at 602 S. 1ST ST, ARTESIA FROM 8 AM – 5PM MONDAY – FRIDAY

Starting October 17th, 24th and 31st the hours extend to include Saturday from 8AM – 4 PM at both locations.

                               October 19th – October 30th MONDAY – FRIDAY 8AM – 6PM at both locations

On November 3, 2020, Election Day, all 13 Voting Convenience Centers will be open. For more information, visit the Elections page.

The Eddy County Clerk would like to encourage voters to make sure their voter registrations are up to date and all the information is correct. Please visit or call the office at 575-885-3383 for more information.
